Pedestrian struck, killed on 101 Freeway in Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed on the southbound 101 Freeway in Hollywood Tuesday morning.

The crash happened near the Highland Boulevard exit. It's unknown why the person was walking on the freeway.

Three southbound lanes were shut down for the investigation. All lanes reopened around 7:40 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
