Person killed in hit-and-run crash in Fairfax District

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A person was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Fairfax District Wednesday night.

The incident occurred at about 10:10 p.m. on Melrose Avenue and Ogden Drive near Fairfax High School.

The pedestrian was struck by the vehicle and died at the scene, police said.

Police are searching for a black sedan that fled from the scene.
