HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. (KABC) -- Police chased a white vehicle in a dangerous pursuit through the East Los Angeles area Friday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol said the chase began at about 3:05 p.m. on the 605 Freeway heading northbound near the 105 Freeway.
The vehicle, which officials said was stolen, was driven erratically, at times on the wrong side of the street in an attempt to evade law enforcement.

While driving through the Hacienda Heights area, the suspect jumped from the car's driver-side window as the vehicle was moving in Turnbull Canyon.
The suspect ran into a heavily wooded area near a home as officers canvassed the area.
