VIDEO: Police chase go-kart on Oakland freeway

OAKLAND, Calif. (KABC) -- A bizarre police chase in Oakland was caught on camera as officers pursued a man in a go-kart.

An undercover officer attempted to pull over the go-kart on the 880 Freeway on Sunday.

Video captured the man in the go-kart speeding along the freeway as patrol cars with flashing lights followed closely behind.

According to the man who shot the video, this wasn't an unusual sight to see.

The witness said people meet up every so often to ride dirt bikes and go-karts around the Oakland area.

The driver of the go-kart wasn't alone, as he was part of a large group of riders, but ended up being chased by police because he was the slowest in the pack.
