Nearly 20 vehicles get flat tires due to debris on 60 Freeway

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (KABC) -- There was a big backup after nearly 20 vehicles, including a semi-truck, all got flat tires on the westbound 60 Freeway in the Diamond Bar area on Friday morning.

The California Highway Patrol says calls regarding debris on the road started coming in around 3:30 a.m.

One woman said she was on her way to work when she hit the debris.

"I was coming down the 60, and my car hit something that was in the middle of a lane. I kind of had to swerve in between three or four lanes to get control of the vehicle," Zayra Lopez said. "The engine to my car, like, I don't know, it blew? There's oil everywhere."

CHP found a driveshaft in the middle lanes, which is believed to have caused all of the flat tires.

No injuries were reported.
