NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A 30-foot dead whale washed ashore in Newport Beach Wednesday, video from AIR7 showed.
The humpback whale washed up on the shoreline near 11th Street. Experts estimate it's nearly 30 feet long and weighs about 10 tons.
This comes after two storms swept through Southern California earlier in the week.

Marine mammal experts said they are hoping another storm expected Thursday will pull the carcass back out to sea. If that does not happen, they will need to find another way to remove it.
The whale's cause of death is unknown. No additional details were immediately available.
Last April, a whale was found swimming in the Long Beach Harbor. Experts said it was sickened by acid linked to a toxic algae bloom. The whale eventually died.
That same month, another whale washed ashore in Huntington Beach. It's cause of death has not been determined.
