Interactive map helps find best Halloween-decorated houses in Burbank

BURBANK, Calif. (KABC) -- If you're looking for some thrills this spooky season, the Burbank community has got you covered.

"Everyone needs to come. It's free. It's a sight to see," said Anitzia Rodriguez from North Hollywood.

You can find these haunted homes on this crowdsourced Halloween map.

This is an interactive map that Jen Spincick first created in 2020, and this year she expanded it so that families across SoCal can find the spooky sights closest to them.

"People no matter where they're from, can come and add their haunt. Even if it's just a little display with lights, this is about building community and everyone feeling a part of it," she said.

The map has been drawing thousands of people out to Burbank neighborhoods.

"This is our favorite one that we've seen. The most beautiful. The most special and unique," said Brittany Hernandez from Santa Monica.

From pirates to skeletons and creepy clowns, there's something for everyone.

The Burbank haunt community is ready to welcome all of you this Halloween season.

"I wanted more trick-or-treaters, and now it just grew. I didn't think it'd get like this, but I love it. It's a hobby; it's a passion. I work on this all year round," said Diego Linares from Buena Vista Haunt.

"For 3 months, every weekend has been spent on this, so that's been our life. We're proud of it," Dan and Suan Hoy said.

So far, all the reviews are spook-tacular!
