Runyon Canyon Park may soon be getting bathrooms, but some residents aren't excited

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A big upgrade is coming to Runyon Canyon Park in Los Angeles.

For years, there were no bathrooms on the popular hiking trail, but that's changing thanks to a million-dollar plan.

However, not everyone is looking forward to the addition. Some L.A. residents are worried about the cost, potential smells and the possibility attracting homeless individuals to the popular hiking spot.

The project was approved last year, and plans are starting to move forward. The bathroom project is expected to be completed next summer.
