Small plane lands safely on Interstate 15 in San Diego; no injuries reported

SAN DIEGO (KABC) -- A small plane landed on a busy Southern California freeway in the middle of rush hour.

Dramatic cellphone video captures a Cessna T206 make an emergency landing on Interstate 15 in San Diego just before 5 p.m. Monday.

Miraculously, no cars were struck during the landing and the two people inside the plane were able to escape unharmed.

Investigators say the plane was coming from a nearby small airport, but they're still looking into why the pilot had to make an emergency landing.
