RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KABC) -- An adult and a teenage boy in Riverside were injured after being struck by a suspected drunk driver early Monday morning.
The crash occurred around 2 a.m. at Tyler Street and California Avenue, according to Riverside police.
Investigators said the suspect was involved in a domestic altercation at his home, got into his car and crashed into a fire hydrant.
The suspect kept driving after shearing the hydrant, drove over a curb and crashed into the two victims, who were walking along a sidewalk.
The two pedestrians were transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center to be treated for injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, domestic violence and hit-and-run, regarding the hydrant crash.
The identities of those involved in the incident were not immediately released.
