LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Montrose man accused of stalking Sandra Bullock and breaking into her home in West Los Angeles has pleaded not guilty.

Joshua James Corbett, 39, allegedly climbed a fence and broke into the actress' home around 5 a.m. on Sunday. Bullock was home at the time, authorities said.

Corbett was charged with one felony count each of first-degree residential burglary, stalking and possession of a machine gun. He didn't have the gun on him at the time of the break-in, officials said.

The judge set bail at $185,000 and ordered Corbett to stay 200 yards away from the actress.

If convicted, Corbett faces a maximum sentence of seven years, four months in state prison.
