FLORIDA (KABC) -- Two people were rescued Saturday after being thrown overboard from their boat and treading water for 14 hours off the coast of Florida.
Sean McGovern, 50, and Mellisa Morris, 52, had been thrown overboard from their 30-foot Island Hopper boat in Key Largo at about 6 p.m. Friday. They did not have life vests or anything to signal for help.
The pair were found Saturday morning about 75 miles up the eastern coast by an off-duty detective and firefighter, who just happened to be fishing in the area.
The boat is still missing.
