SANTA MONICA, Calif. (KABC) -- The new version of the Converse All Star Chuck Taylors hit store shelves Tuesday, and plenty of shoppers lined up to get their hands on the revamped kicks.
Debuting in 1917, the old Converse high-top was the original shoe designed for basketball. However, it was pretty flat with no support.
That all changes with the new Chuck Taylor II, which keeps the style, but adds more cushion.
Reporter Leo Stallworth talked to shoppers who waited hours to buy the iconic sneaker in the video above.
