LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- The Queen Mary hit its 80-year anniversary Friday in which the ship set off from England on its maiden voyage to New York.
An anniversary celebration in Long Beach will be hosted on the ship, which includes a speech from Winston Churchill's great grandson, Randolph Churchill.
As part of the celebration, admission will be free for the day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Queen Mary served as a troopship during World War II and has been in Long Beach since 1967.
