VIDEO: SoCal residents try to stay cool during heat

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Southern California's spring heat wave continues with record-breaking temperatures, winds and dangerously dry conditions.

Residents tried to escape the heat by indulging in cold treats and taking a swim.
