Aly Raisman gets sweet note from 'Final Five' teammates after silver medal win

It looks like the Final Five is also the warm and fuzzy five.

After winning a silver medal in the women's all-around individual gymnastics competition at the 2016 Rio Olympics on Thursday, Aly Raisman was greeted with a sweet note. Team USA newbies Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian had written to team captain Raisman saying how proud they were.

The note reads:

"We couldn't be any happier for you! All your hard work is paying off, and now you're an Olympic AA Silver Medalist! We've looked up to you from the beginning of our elite careers and you've inspired us in so many ways! We're so thankful to have you cheering us on, and helping us through this Olympic journey!

We love you mama Aly!
Love, Maddie and Laurie"

The sweet message comes after a meaningful medal for Raisman. The 22-year-old tied for third place in the 2012 Olympics, only to be pushed to fourth and miss out on a medal due to a tie-breaker rule. This year she was in fourth place after the second rotation, only to launch a comeback and claim the silver. Her teammate, 19-year-old Simone Biles, won the gold.

Raisman described the scene when she and Biles reunited with their teammates after their big win, saying that Hernandez, Kocian and Gabby Douglas had "swarmed us with lots of hugs."

Before Biles and Raisman's big night at the individual competition, the Final Five (Biles, Raisman, Douglas, Hernandez and Kocian) together won the gold medal in the team competition on Tuesday.
