TAMPA, Fla. (KABC) -- At least seven people were injured after lightning struck following a Tampa Bay Buccaneers game against the Green Bay Packers in Florida Sunday afternoon. No fatalities were reported.
Tampa Police initially tweeted that seven people had been struck by lightning.
Tampa Fire Rescue Spokesman Jason Penny later said it didn't appear that anyone was directly struck by the lightning. He says the lightning did, however, kick up rocks and gravel and knock a few people down. It struck shortly after 4 p.m.
Seven people were transported to St. Joseph's Hospital. The injuries do not appear to be serious.
Green Bay beat the Bucs 20-3.
