A 16-year-old girl from New Jersey has set a world record after finishing her swim across the English Channel.

Charlotte Samuels is the youngest to complete the Triple Crown of open-water swimming.

In June, Samuels made the 28.5-mile swim across the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim in nine hours and 54 minutes.

When she did the 20.2-mile swim across the Catalina Island Channel in August, she encountered a few obstacles, including several jellyfish stings and strong currents. But she made it to Rancho Palos Verdes after swimming for nearly 20 hours.
