World Series odds: Dodgers favored over Yankees, Phillies

The Los Angeles Dodgersopened the season as favorites to win the World Series and finished the regular season season that way. The Dodgers had opened at +550, moved to +450 after signing Shohei Ohtani in the offseason and now sit at +350 at ESPN BET. The New York Yankees are close behind at +375, followed by by the National League East-winningPhiladelphia Philliesat +425.

Speaking of those Yankees, they boast the best odds to win the American League at +145, followed by the Cleveland Guardians at +375. The Dodgers (+175) and Phillies (+200) sit 1-2 to win the NL pennant.

The playoffs began Tuesday with four best-of-three wild-card series featuring theDetroit Tigers at the Houston Astros, the Kansas City Royals at the Baltimore Orioles, the New York Mets at the Milwaukee Brewersand the Atlanta Braves at the San Diego Padres. The Padres were the lone home team to win Tuesday.

Wednesday's Game 2 action kicks off with the Tigers at Houston at 2:32 p.m. ET onABC, followed by Royals-Orioles (4:38 p.m. ET on ESPN), Mets-Brewers (7:38 p.m. ET on ESPN) and wraps up with the Padres hosting the Braves at 8:38 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
