World Series Odds: Yankees back to being favorites with win, Mets tops to win NL

The Los Angeles Dodgersopened the season as favorites to win the World Series and finished the regular season season that way, but as their series with theSan Diego Padreshas now reached the decisive Game 5, things are a bit up in the air.

The Dodgers (+325) have the best odds of any NL team to win the World Series, but it's the upstartNew York Mets, who eliminated thePhiladelphia Phillieson Wednesday, that currently have the best odds (+140) to take home the NL pennant.

Meanwhile, the New York Yankeestook a 2-1 lead in their ALDS battle against theKansas City Royalsand, with that win, once again claim the role of favorites (+225) to celebrate with champagne come November.

Game 4 in both ALDS will be played on Thursday, with the Yankees andDetroit Tigerslooking to lock things up and advance. Los Angeles will host San Diego for their Game 5 on Friday.
