Man killed in Santa Monica; suspect in custody

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (KABC) -- The Santa Monica Police Department says a suspect is in custody for the death of a man who was found with head trauma and stab wounds in Santa Monica.

On Saturday, officers found a man unresponsive in the 1300 block of 5th Street at about 5 p.m. The man appeared to have suffered severe head injuries, and it was later revealed that he had also been stabbed.

After being transported to a nearby hospital, he died from his injuries at around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday.

Santa Monica detectives were able to apprehend the suspect, Theo Andrew Krah, after further investigation.

Detectives found that Krah and the victim were involved in an altercation at the Santa Monica Pier.

Krah is being held at the Santa Monica Police Department Jail on a $2 million bail.
