SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Authorities chased a possible stolen vehicle suspect through surface streets in South Los Angeles Friday evening.
The suspect traveled at high speeds through residential areas, at one point heading southbound on Normandie Avenue through Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
At one point, a passenger fled from the gray Nissan sedan and quickly surrendered to authorities.
As the suspect rounded the corner of Gorman Avenue, he fled from the still-moving sedan and ran through a residential area. In one attempt, the suspect tried to enter a home and was pushed out by a woman.
Authorities eventually caught up to the suspect and took him into custody. He appeared to have some sort of weapon in his hand, but it was unclear what it was.
The investigation was ongoing.
