California mother found dead after being reported missing, family says

FRESNO, Calif. -- The family of a Fresno, California, mother who had been reported missing since Tuesday says she was found dead at her ex-boyfriend's home.

Fresno Police confirmed it is investigating 30-year-old Tatyana McIntyre's death as a homicide. Her family refers to her as Tatyana "Alison" Riley.

Riley's sister, Alizabeth Lopez, said the family became concerned after Riley sent a message to their mother.

"She had texted my mom saying ... if I ever get harmed just know he did it," Lopez said. "It kind of started to make us suspicious."

According to Lopez, Riley leaves behind seven children, including two she shared with her ex-boyfriend. Family members said Riley had gone to visit their children at her ex-boyfriend's home on the day she disappeared.

"We think that he baited her. They weren't there," Lopez said.

Family members provided a timeline of events leading up to Riley's disappearance. They said Riley last contacted them around 1 p.m. Tuesday after arriving at her ex-boyfriend's house to visit the children. Later that afternoon, she failed to pick up her daughter from school.

On Tuesday night, family members said they used GPS to locate Riley's car in an orchard near McKinley and Academy avenues.

Surveillance video obtained by our sister station KFSN-TV from the intersection shows what the family says is Riley's Fiat followed by a white truck they say belonged to her ex-boyfriend.

"Somebody was following him in his truck where they dumped the car, so somebody out there knows what he did," Lopez said.

Early the next morning, a large police presence, including homicide detectives, was seen at a home on Grove Avenue. Family members said the home belonged to Riley's ex-boyfriend and was where her body was recovered.

Police confirmed KFSN-TV that the home is the scene of an active death investigation. However, Lopez said the family still has unanswered questions.

"We have no information on where he's at, no information on the cause of death," Lopez said.

The investigation remains ongoing. Police have not confirmed whether there is a suspect.

As relatives mourn Riley's death, Lopez said the family is focused on seeking justice.

"She was a mom; she was a sister. She was a friend. She loved Disneyland," Lopez said.

"We just want answers. Ultimately that's the goal. We want justice for our sister."

Riley's family has created a GoFundMe campaign to help pay for funeral expenses.
