POMONA, Calif. (KABC) -- Patients and staff were moved back to the main Pomona Valley Medical Center building after a suspicious box was found at its employee entrance.
The hospital said the box was found around 5 p.m. near the north entrance on Friday, and after thorough inspection by the hospital K-9 Unit and the LASD Explosives Unit, authorities said nothing harmful was contained in the package.
The hospital, located at the 1700 block of Garey Avenue, moved patients and associates that work in the north side of the hospital to rooms in the south side of the main building.
The hospital was reopened to normal operations around 8:15 p.m., according to Pomona police.
