FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- Tamura Elementary School in Fountain Valley was evacuated Monday after a custodian found a Ziploc bag containing a PVC pipe that had caps on the ends.
Police and a bomb squad responded to the scene after being notified by the school at 7:14 a.m. A robot was deployed to inspect the object.
The "device" turned out to be a homemade GoPro camera extension left by accident by a kid over weekend, police said.
Officers checked the rest of the campus and gave an "all clear" at 9:39 a.m. School was dismissed for the day.
