Lawmakers propose regulations on drones during emergencies
As drones increase in popularity, their ability to ground water-dropping planes or helicopters during fires becomes a safety issue.

GRIFFITH PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- As drones increase in popularity, their ability to ground water-dropping planes or helicopters during fires becomes a safety issue.



Last month, drones delayed the aerial assault for nearly 30 minutes during the North Fire in the Cajon Pass.



Local lawmakers are hoping to tackle the growing problem.
