Temecula bank robbery suspect sought

TEMECULA, Calif. (KABC) -- The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is searching for a man who robbed a bank in Temecula Tuesday.

An unidentified man entered a First Citizens Bank branch located at 44575 Avenida De Missiones at 2 p.m. Tuesday and brandished a weapon at employees.

The employees gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and the man fled the scene.

The suspect was described as a white man in his 20s with a beard, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, wearing a black and yellow baseball cap, a dark long-sleeve button-down shirt and dark pants.

Temecula police officers responded within minutes and searched the area, but did not locate the suspect.

The investigation is ongoing and the Temecula Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating the suspect. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Detective Dave Gorlicki at the Temecula Police Department at (951) 696-3000.
