VIRAL VIDEO: Timelapse shows incredible supercell formation

Take a look at this amazing video out of Wyoming.

Storm chasers took the timelapse Sunday night of a supercell thunderstorm forming in the northeast part of the state.

Meteorologists know them as "low precipitation supercells." They typically have a rotating current of rising air, known as an updraft, giving them that flattened appearance on the bottom. According to NOAA, supercell thunderstorms are responsible for nearly all significant tornadoes produced in the U.S.
