TORRANCE, Calif. (KABC) -- One person was killed when a fire broke out at an apartment building in Torrance early Sunday morning, authorities said.
The blaze occurred in the 22500 block of Ocean Avenue at about 2 a.m. It took 34 firefighters about 15 minutes to knock the fire down.
Investigators believe the fire began in a unit on the first floor and later spread to two additional units on the second floor. A total of five units were damaged.
