Colossus ride at Six Flags Magic Mountain to shut permanently in August

VALENCIA, Calif. (KABC) -- One of the Southland's favorite wooden roller coasters is shutting down.

Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain will end its 36-year reign at the park on Aug. 16.

"Six Flags Magic Mountain will announce exciting future plans for the park we think our Guests will love at a later date. In the meantime, don't miss your last chance to ride Colossus," Six Flags said in a statement to Eyewitness News on Tuesday.
