LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An Uber driver was stabbed in the face and neck during a robbery in Los Angeles early Tuesday morning. One of the suspects remains at large.
Los Angeles police received a call about a robbery in the area of Hoover and 61st streets at around 3:45 a.m. Responding officers say they found the male victim with stab wounds to his face and neck.
The driver told officers he was robbed by two African-American suspects - one male and one female.
Police said the female was taken into custody, while the male suspect remains on the run.
The driver was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
"Our heart goes out to the victim. We are working to gather more information about this incident and stand ready to work with the authorities and help them in any way that we can," Uber said in a statement to Eyewitness News.
