ATASCADERO, Calif. (KABC) -- Surveillance video provided by Cal Coast News shows a UPS driver kicking a service dog and then pushing the animal's owner outside of an assisted-living facility in Atascadero in May.
A patient reportedly saw the incident and alerted the dog's handler, Timothy Paulsen, who then approached the UPS driver.
The UPS driver pushed and shoved Paulsen, allegedly causing him to break a rib.
"This assault was completely unprovoked. I nor my dogs did anything to deserve this attack. The driver threatened to kick me as I tried to calm the situation down," Paulsen said.
UPS did not respond to Eyewitness News' request for comment.
