VICTORVILLE, Calif. (KABC) -- A San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputy was hospitalized after being hit by a car during a foot pursuit in Victorville on Saturday.
Officials say the deputy was conducting a check on two pedestrians when they attempted to run away. The deputy chased after them, but was struck by a vehicle near La Paz Drive and Pamela Street.
He was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
The two men were detained, but the driver who struck the deputy remains outstanding.
