LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Meteorologist Dallas Raines was honored Tuesday at the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors meeting for his 30 years at KABC-TV.
"Thank you for your leadership in the community and (being) a positive role model for our county," Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich said.
Dallas graduated from Florida State University. He joined Eyewitness News in 1984. Dallas is an award-winning meteorologist who is certified by the American Meteorological Society.
"Thank you for having me. To serve the community in the way that I've been blessed by God to do, I can't thank you enough for all your love and support over the years. I really appreciate it," Dallas said.
When he's not working at KABC, Dallas is a professor at California State University, Northridge.
Dallas can be seen weekday afternoons on ABC7 Eyewitness News at 4, 5, 6 and 11 p.m.
