Lightning lights up skies across Long Beach
The El Nino-driven storms are packing a punch in Long Beach, hitting the city with rain, hail and even lightning.

LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- The El Nino-driven storms are packing a punch in Long Beach, hitting the city with rain, hail and even lightning.

Lightning lit up the skies Wednesday night. Heavy rain and thunder also pounded the area as well as South Gate.

In San Pedro, the storm knocked out power to nearly 1,700 customers, according to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

The storm also brought hail to Seal Beach and Wilmington.
