WEST COVINA, Calif. (KABC) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on the eastbound 10 Freeway in West Covina early Wednesday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident was reported near Sunset Avenue around 3:30 a.m.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. At least three eastbound lanes were closed for the investigation. Lanes began reopening around 6:30 a.m.
Investigators suspect the hit-and-run suspect's vehicle has front-end damage. The make or model was not immediately known.
