Big Boy dumps overalls for cowboy hat

NORCO Bob's wanted to open one of its restaurants in Norco, complete with the usual Big Boy statue. But the city known as Horsetown U.S.A. said the Big Boy was not "western" enough to fit in with the overall look of things.

And it's true -- you don't see many cowboys in red checkerboard overalls.

Bob's agreed to outfit the statue with a cowboy hat and boots. In return, the city gave the go-ahead to build the restaurant.
