The fire started just after 11 p.m. Wednesday at the Beverly Plaza Apartments on East Atherton Street. It completely destroyed a second-floor apartment.
The three students living in that apartment were in a neighboring residence when the fire started. They are now looking for a new place to live.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
