San Diego wildfire nears full containment

In San Diego County, firefighters are battling a brush fire that has burned about 100 acres, and is burning near homes in the Torrey Hills area. The fire was reported just after noon in the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve in Sorrento Valley, about 15 miles north of downtown San Diego.

Cal Fire has joined San Diego fire crews and is providing helicopter and air tanker support to help fight the blaze.

Residents of the Corte Jardin del Mar and Corte Mar Asombrosa communities are under a voluntary evacuation.

No injuries or property damage have been reported.
