An elderly woman is accused of mistreating cats after authorities found dozens of cats in her Pomona home.Animal Control officers rescued 17 cats and seized 69 others Thursday night. They also took more than 100 handmade caskets, each filled with a dead cat.
The caskets were stacked in a backyard shack, and some of them had been there for 20 years or more, authorities said.
The 82-year-old woman and her son ran a licensed cat rescue and adoption facility out of the home.
Animal Control cited both for animal abuse.
