Study: Vitamins don't reduce cancer risk

Researchers reviewed the use of multi-vitamins in 162,000 women for eight years. Nearly 42 percent reported taking daily vitamins.

After adjusting for smoking, alcohol use and diet, they found vitamin users had no lower rate of cancer or heart disease than non-users.

The Archives of Internal Medicine report suggests it's better to get nutrients from food than from a pill.
