LYNWOOD, Calif. --Abbott Elementary School in Lynwood was evacuated after receiving a bomb threat phone call on Tuesday. Students were taken to the playground and field at about 10:15 a.m., and officials were prepared to transport the students to a nearby high school.
However, the L.A. County Sheriff's Department and the L.A. County Fire Department investigated the school and found nothing.
The students returned to class after a short time.
