Woman arrested wearing only bathing suit

SACRAMENTO, Calif. According to police, the chase began when Annette Hurd, 47, fled the scene of a hit-and-run accident.

Officers chased Hurd for 50 miles before laying down a spike strip and using a PIT maneuver to stop her in the middle of Interstate 5.

Hurd told a reporter at the scene she was trying to get her dog home safely.

"I wasn't worried about me, I was more worried about the dog," she said.

In the end, the dog was taken to a local Humane Society.

Hurd is being held without bail on several charges, including felony hit-and-run, driving without a license, and throwing objects from a moving vehicle.
