NORTH HOLLYWOOD --
Los Angeles City Councilwoman and Controller-Elect Wendy Greuel Monday joined other city and community leaders to break ground on the new Bellaire Pocket Park Project.The park site is located at the corner of Bellaire Avenue and Strathern Street in North Hollywood.
The city-owned property had become as local dumping ground, but Greuel says it will soon feature playground equipment, native plants and lawns. Plans also include a learning center and solar-powered lights.
Saticoy Elementary School has also agreed to adopt the park and utilize it as part of their science curriculum.
