BOYLE HEIGHTS, Calif. --
A woman suspected in a deadly hit-and-run in Boyle Heights has turned herself in.Carol Vega, 29, of Huntington Park surrendered Saturday to Whittier police. She was turned over to Los Angeles police.
Investigators believe Vega was behind the wheel of a car that hit and killed 19-year-old Guadalupe Colmenares.
Colmenares was in the crosswalk at Lorena Street and East 6th, when Vega allegedly ran a red light. Colmenares' aunt and 14-year-old cousin were also injured.
