UCLA bruin mascot vandalized with USC colors

LOS ANGELES The statue in Bruin Square was splattered with red and gold paint sometime Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Vandals had to cut through a protective tarp to even get to the statue.

Red and gold are USC's colors.

On Saturday, the two sides will face off on the football field.

No one has been arrested.

Meanwhile, USC students are working in shifts to guard their school's Tommy Trojan statue. So far, it is safe.
