Apple Valley couple sought in torture of child

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. The suspects are identified as 32-year-old Martin Roland Morales and 28-year-old Crystal Pauline Rodriguez. They are believed to be hiding in Los Angeles County.

Morales is considered armed and dangerous.

In August, San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies found a 5-year old boy at a house in Apple Valley. They say he had been physically, mentally and sexually abused by Morales and other suspects over the course of five months. Investigators say the child was deprived of food and water. He was also burned with heated spoons and a glue gun.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, the boy had also been sexually molested by Morales and other unidentified males at the house.

Investigators say Morales is an Eastlake Gang member and gave his brother's name during the initial investigation to avoid arrest. According to authorities, Morales said he would "shoot it out" if they tried to arrest him.

Morales is described as 5-feet-11-inches tall, weighing approximately 280 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos of his daughters' names on the left and right side of his head and praying hands on the back of his head.

Rodriguez is described as 5 foot 1, 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

The child is expected to recover from his injuries.
