COVINA, Calif. --Police are searching for a rapist who kidnapped a woman at knifepoint in Covina Sunday. They say the 31-year-old woman was walking on the 1100 block of North Fairvale Street when the suspect drove up in a newer four-door pickup truck with tinted windows. She told police he got out of the truck, forced her into the back seat, hit her, and ordered her to lie down on the floor. Police say the man drove her to a rural area where he sexually assaulted her. "The suspect bound and blindfolded the victim before driving her to a residential neighborhood in the 10800 block of Lansford Street in Glen Avon, where he left her," said Covina Police Sgt. Dave Foster. A neighbor called the Riverside Sheriff's Department.
The woman was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
Anyone with information related to this case was urged to call Covina Police Detective Antonio Zavala at (626) 384-5808.
