6 counterfeit suspects arrested in Camarillo

CAMARILLO, Calif. On New Year's Eve, the department's Special Enforcement Bureau arrested Bernie Denk, Angel Navarette and Kaylea Fomenko at Denk's home in the 2400 block of Pickwick Drive.

Investigators say Denk had $1,000 in $20, $50 and $100 bills along with materials needed to make counterfeit currency.

Navarette had several hundred dollars in counterfeit money, according to investigators.

All three were allegedly under the influence.

Five days later, officers arrested Robert Odom, April Callis and Staci Hall in the 1600 block of Pierside Lane.

Odom reportedly had $500 in counterfeit money, with materials to counterfeit currency.

Callis and Hall were arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Odom and Denk are suspected of printing and passing thousands of dollars in counterfeit money in Ventura County. All six suspects are being held at the Ventura County main jail.
