Man arrested after trying to kill deputy

YUCCA VALLEY, Calif. Investigators say San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies answered a disturbance call at a home in the 55000 block of Onaga Trail in Yucca Valley at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The deputies reported as they conducted their investigation that Jeremy Quinones, 20, drove his SUV towards one of them

The deputy managed to initially dodge the vehicle, but Quinones swerved and hit a parked sheriff's vehicle. The force of the collision pushed it into another sheriff's vehicle at the scene. The suspect's SUV then hit the deputy.

Quinones was arrested for attempted murder of a peace officer and violating his probation. He's being held without bail at the West Valley Detention Center.
